Screen Printing Workshops in Brighton

Spark Your Creativity, Learn Something New, Do Something Mindful, and have a jolly good time!

Create your own multiple-colour fine art screen print limited edition of ten to decorate your walls or give away as gifts to loved ones. Treat yourself to an engaging, relaxing, and enlightening day of screen printing in a pop-up print studio.

Clo will welcome you into the studio where you’ll be going back to basics with her easily honed, low-environmental-impact screen printing technique, suitable for all levels.
Students will be clearly guided step-by-step through the process from sketchbook to squeegee. Learning starts with a quick demo followed by equipment set-up, image preparation, stencilling, colour-mixing, the registration method, and printing your multiple-colour hand-cut vinyl stencil hand-pulled limited edition of 10. Finally, you will learn how to professionally edition your prints.
Frame the first in your edition (1/10) to decorate your walls as an aide-memoire of your achievement. The other nine prints can be wrapped or framed and given as gifts to family and friends. A proud moment... Or you could even sell them!
All this for less than a single fine art print from a contemporary art gallery!
'Screen printing itself is the inspiration (and a complete addiction!). I am here to give you the tools to enable a life-time of home-made screen printing.'
- Cloe Barrett

  • Once we've cut the stencils, we will prepare the screens by transferring the vinyl stencils to the screens before taping them up ready for printing
  • Then I will take you through the concept of 'registration', a method of aligning and overlapping the colours of an image

Tea and cake will be provided and we will stop for a 30-45 minute lunch at 1pm, so please do bring a packed lunch. There is a small convenience shop next door to the studio too.

Vicky's 5* Review
'Clo is an amazing teacher. Her screen printing workshops are relaxed and really good fun! I came away with 5 lovely prints that I am planning on gifting to friends and family, as I'm really pleased with how they turned out, thanks to Clo's brilliant instructions and demos. The workshop was really good value for money - I will definitely be doing another!’
Hannah's 5* Review
'Thanks for a fantastic session of screen printing Cloe! We had a fab time and learnt so much. It was really amazing value and you really put everything in to make it an enjoyable and engaging time. Really good to get a thorough, easy (but not too easy) delve into the world of screen printing and thanks for giving us the confidence to at least think we might try it again and even maybe one day try it at home! THANKS!’
Sam's 5* Review
