Day 7. I couldn’t not include this beautiful symbol. It is one of my all-time faves! First used over two thousand years ago, the ampersand actually originates from the Latin word ‘et’ which means ‘and’. It is a beautiful joining of the E and the T. My jaw was on the floor when I made this discovery! It's so obvious now!
When the symbol hit out shores in the UK, English scholars would claim it was a complete word, per se. Born was the Ampersand – ‘and per se’.
