And Per Se II
Typographic miniature black and white screenprint.
Day 23. of my 30 Works 30 Days challenge
First used over two thousand years ago, the ampersand actually originates from the Latin word ‘et’ which means ‘and’ – it is a beautiful joining of the E and the T. My jaw was on the floor when I made this discovery! How obvious!⠀
By the time the symbol hit out shores, English scholars would claim ‘it was a complete word per se’. Born was the #Ampersand – ‘and per se’.⠀
