Toucans are among the noisiest of forest birds. Their song often resembles croaking frogs combined with tapping and clattering sounds from their bill. It is the toucans' bill that I have found completely irresistible to replicate in my prints. I am captivated by their distinguished markings and bold brightly coloured shapes that form to camouflage the birds. Their bills are actually one of natures best heat-regulating systems having adapted to keep them cool in the hot environment in which they live.
To represent nature as sincerely as possible I've mixed the pallet to the exact colours that feature on a Keel-Billed Toucan's bill.
